Strategies for Women

So, you’ve made a decision. You’re going to give dating apps a try. The question becomes, “Which pictures do I upload?”

Well, it depends. Every pic on a dating app sends a message. Some messages will have mass appeal, while others are more targeted. I highly recommend the pictures that are more targeted. After all, your goal is quality, not quantity. For example, if you post a picture of yourself in a bikini, every guy within fifty miles is going to send you a “like.”

This is bad. You won’t be able to tell the difference between the guys whose attraction is merely physical, and those who noticed something special about you as a person. The latter will be much more interested in forging a real relationship.

That’s why I suggest fun, candid photos like these:

First of all, both photos are only lightly-edited, giving them a more natural, authentic feel. Either one could’ve easily been taken by a friend with a smartphone. And in my opinion, that’s precisely what you want.

If all your pictures look too perfect and glossy, it would look like you hired a professional photographer, and that can often send the wrong message. What people want to see on a dating app is authenticity. Therefore, the staged, posed photos you would get from a traditional portrait photographer would likely prove counterproductive.

You want your photos to look good, but not too good. You want to be seen in a flattering light and from an attractive angle, but in such a way that it looks like those things happened “by accident.”

Second of all, both women in these photos look beautiful, but in each case, I took the picture when they weren’t expecting it. As a result, their expressions are more relaxed and genuine. And most importantly, you can literally see their personalities.

Sure, plenty of guys are still going to swipe right, but the ones who offer “Super Likes” (or a “Rose” on Hinge) will have done so because they saw something in your eyes that piqued their curiosity. And that’s what you want. You want guys who are interested in YOUnot just your picture.

So, if you book a photoshoot with me, I’ll do everything I can to highlight your true self in the best possible light. Because when it comes to photography, a person’s eyes tell you everything. And as clichéd as it sounds, they truly are the “window to the soul.” In fact, that’s why I named this company PhotoSpark. My aim is to showcase that “spark” in everyone.
